2019 One Day SaleThe 2019 United Tool and Fastener One-Day Sale brought new products, demonstrations, and vendors to San Antonio and Houston on Oct. 15 and 16.

Despite unseasonable heat in the low 90s in San Antonio followed by rain and chilly weather in Houston, throngs of customers turned out to take advantage of the great deals, giveaways, bar-b-que lunch and hospitality.

The once-a-year blowout sale enabled customers new and old to get-to-know new products and companies they may not have known prior to the event.

Sales teams representing PIP, Werner, KNAACK, DeWalt, Motorola, Milwaukee, MetalTech, and Radians were on hand to answer questions, demonstrate some of the newest products, and help customers take advantage of the one-time savings.

“This was the biggest and most organized One-Day Sale yet,” UTF owner, Bobby Williams, explained.

“There was definitely something for everyone. It was a very big event with plenty of giveaways, bar-b-que lunch, an Astros woodcarving via a chainsaw, and we even cut up an old car using various DeWalt products.”

Multiple new demonstrations excited and impressed customers at the Houston sale.

Woodcarver, Della Meredith, was on hand at the Houston One-Day Sale for the first time to showcase her woodworking talent. While customers were enjoying food and viewing new products, Meredith worked her magic by transforming a large piece of cedar into an Astros masterpiece using a DeWalt chainsaw.

By the end of the sale, Meredith had changed a plain chunk of cedar wood into a painted piece of Astros art that is now on display in the Houston showroom.

Car cutIn addition, toward the end of the sale, DeWalt Account Manager, Ricardo Morad, donned safety clothing for another Houston One-Day Sale first: the cutting into pieces of an old car using the DeWalt DCCS690X1 60v chainsaw. Morad began the car-cutting process followed by additional salesmen taking their own turns cutting up the car using various DeWalt products.

“In all, we used the DCCS690X1- 60v chainsaw, the DCBL772X1- 60v blower, the DCF887B- 20v impact driver, the DCE530B- 20v heat gun, and the DCW210P1- 20v sander for the car cutting,” Morad said.

“People really enjoyed watching us use the various DeWalt tools to cut the car apart. It was a good time.”

Ultimately, UTF owners, Bobby Williams and Steve Blackwell, are thankful for the support of the customers, vendors, and UTF team members who contributed to the event's success.

"I want to thank all of our customers for coming out and everyone that was involved for making this another great One-Day Sale event," Williams said.
