Safety harness useIn Palmetto Bay, Fla., Werner safety harnesses ensured that two construction workers did not fall to their deaths after a scaffold partially gave way.

The accident occurred when two construction workers were attempting to inspect a building and the rented scaffolding they were using gave way, leaving one worker clinging to the side of the building and the other perched on the top of the scaffolding (which was leaning to one side).

According to Miami-Dade ABC 10 News, the two workers were ultimately rescued by the local Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department.

However, without proper safety instruction and the proper use of safety equipment (in this case, it was a Werner safety harness), this scenario could have ended in death.

United Tool and Fastener offers OSHA safety classes taught by OSHA-certified safety instructor, Charlie Gertson, and Werner safety harnesses to prevent accidental falls.
