Werner Leading EdgeUnited Tool and Fastener is excited to announce the expansion of Werner’s Fall Protection line of products with the addition of the Max Patrol Self-Retracting Lifeline series with Leading Edge SRLs. The new SRLs combine the freedom of movement performance of Max Patrol with leading-edge capability and a fall arrest mechanism designed to minimize clearance requirements.

Werner’s new Leading Edge line of SRLs are approved for use in leading-edge applications and have been tested in three categories: steel beam, precast concrete and b-deck.

When used in non-leading-edge applications, this new line of SRLs meet the Class A requirements for ANSI, minimizing clearance requirements by reducing maximum arrest distance to less than 24 inches.

“It can be used in so many various applications.”

The new lock speed of the product is optimized to maintain freedom of movement without nuisance lock-ups, and the impact-resistant housing and shock pack cover provide durability even in extremely harsh environments.

When considering buying a harness-be it for construction use or recreational use- potential wearers must know that Werner harnesses and lanyards have an expiration date. ANSI A10.32-2004 states that the service life of fall protection equipment manufactured of synthetic fiber shall be 5 years unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer. Always follow the manufacturer’s direct instructions for use.
