On Sept. 12 to 14, United Tool and Fastener participated in the 2018 OSHA Safety and Health Conference in Houston at the Westchase Marriott hotel. The conference highlighted various health and safety topics, including multiple sessions covering Silica and its effects on the construction industry.

In collaboration with vendors PIP and Werner, UTF showcased safety products and equipment in an indoor exhibit hall and outside the hotel (where the conference was held).

“I thought it was a good event,” UTF President Bobby Williams said. “We were able to talk to a lot of people about our new KASK helmets and Sundstrom Silica dust masks.”

KASK and Sundrom representative Jason Cashmore was on hand at the UTF booth inside the exhibit hall to help explain what makes those product lines different from other safety hats or masks.

“It’s always great to be able to talk to people face-to-face and explain how the product works and what makes it different,” Cashmore explained.

Outside, UTF Safety Specialist, Charlie Gertson, explained to conference-goers about all the safety training UTF offers in addition to the specialized safety equipment such as harnesses offered by UTF.
