UTF Presents at Safety RodeoUnited Tool and Fastener (UTF) took part in the Independent Electrical Contractor (IEC) Texas Gulf Coast Chapter Safety Rodeo on Wednesday, April 17, from 10am to 2pm, as a safety vendor.

The IEC Safety Rodeo, which is in its third year, is an “event that helps electrical contractors stay up-to-date on what is going on in the world of safety,” explained Membership Director, Tori Barrett.

The purpose of the annual IEC Safety Rodeo is to showcase the latest and greatest in safety tools and practices for electrical contractors.

UTF Safety Specialist, Amy Sexton, showcased some of the various safety products carried by UTF and explained to participants the safety training offered (by UTF).

“I think it’s important for UTF to attend committee events, such as the IEC Safety Rodeo, to bring awareness to our end users that we aren’t just a distributor, but we offer an abundance of knowledge and services that exceed closing a sale,” Sexton explained.

This year, approximately 100 electrical contractors and IEC associate members participated in the event.

Some of the vendors at the event included Radians, Werner Ladder, PIP/Novax/Stanco, DeWalt, Milwaukee, and OSHA.

The Independent Electrical Contractor (IEC) Texas Gulf Coast Chapter is a productive association, composed of electrical professionals whose mission is to promote the success of all electrical contractors preferring to remain independent or open shop. In Houston, the IEC represents over 200 electrical contractors and more than 2,000 journeyman electricians, associates and engineers.
