The 3M™ Full Facepiece Reusable Respirator 6900 Large is designed to help protect workers in a variety of industries including construction, manufacturing, transportation, industrial, industrial maintenance, marine, mining, oil, gas and pharmaceutical from certain airborne contaminants.
The 3M™ 6000 Series Full Facepiece Respirator comes in three sizes (small-6700; medium-6800; and large-6900) and is crafted from lightweight and durable materials and features a soft silicone face seal that conforms to a wearer's face, in addition to a wide lens for visibility and eye protection.
Furthermore, the 3M™ Full Facepiece Reusable Respirator comprises a four-point harness that helps provide a secure fit.
Additionally, the 3M™ Full Facepiece Reusable Respirator also comprises the 3M™ Cool Flow™ Valve and a center adapter to direct exhaled breath and moisture downward to help reduce the occurrence of dirt and debris collecting in the valve as well as the facepiece.
The 3M™ Full Facepiece Reusable Respirators meet ANSI Z87.1 standard requirements for high-impact eye and face protection and are compatible with a range of 3M™ filters, cartridges, and supplied air systems.
How to wear the 3M™ Full Facepiece Reusable Respirator 6900 correctly:
- Fully loosen all four head straps. Pull hair back with one hand. Bring facepiece up to face with other hand.
- While holding the facepiece in place, pull the straps over your head.
- Tighten the two bottom straps.
- Tighten the two top straps.
- Make sure the back of the harness is centered on the back of the head.
- Always Perform a User Seal Check before using
Before assigning any respirator to be worn in a contaminated area, a qualitative or quantitative fit test must be performed per U.S. OSHA standard 29CFR 1910.134 or local requirements.
