STI Firestop launched Firestop Locator early in 2019.

It is a tracking program that enables all items at a jobsite or facility to be digitally documented.

The map-based application is a simple way to track and report on items such as penetrations, construction joints, doors, dampers, and extinguishers (with more items coming into the system soon).

Tracked items comprise a history of information including photos, installer information, installed date, UL systems used, and inspections.

Firestop Locator emphasizes collaboration by introducing platform teams.

‘Teams’ is a simple way to add as many team members as necessary to a project and assign a role to each member of the team. Once the team is established, Firestop Locator sends notifications about a project to the team to provide the most efficient process to complete the job.
