The new Milwaukee M18 FUEL™ Compact Band Saw (2829-20) has arrived and offers users a lightweight design that delivers the power necessary to complete a variety of work.
The Milwaukee M18 FUEL™ Compact Band Saw comprises the largest cutting capacity of any compact band saw (at 3-1/4-inch by 3-1/4-inch) and utilizes a POWERSTATE™ Brushless motor and Constant Power Technology™ for rapid cutting, making long, difficult jobs quicker and easier.
“Works perfectly… good for cutting rebar, pipe and rod.”
Additionally, the Milwaukee M18 FUEL™ Compact Band Saw comprises Jobsite Armor Technology™, which protects the tool from drops and debris and utilizes a proprietary composite material and crush zone barriers to absorb impacts.
Furthermore, the Milwaukee cordless band saw encompasses REDLINK PLUS™ Intelligence for optimized performance and overload protection for complete system communication between tool, battery and charger. The new portable band saw also enables maximum tool control and productivity with a variable-speed trigger, tool-free adjustable, locking shoe and LED work light.
Meanwhile, the integrated rafter hook enables easy storage of the band saw when in between cuts or jobs.
“Just all around great…This saw is the perfect balance of M18 battery (long runtime) and size… it can still cut 90% of what the deep cut band saw would cut.”
Accessories for the M18 FUEL™ Compact Band Saw include a pipe reamer attachment (49-90-2029, sold separately), which enables the band saw to both cut and ream. One 8/10 TPI extreme metal cutting band saw blade is included with the band saw. The M18 FUEL™ Compact Band Saw has a recommended blade size of 35-3/8 inch by 1/2 inch by .020 inch.
Another professional added, “Very useful. I've used a number of these handheld band saws, and this one is by far the best.”
