Despite forecasts for rain, the Nov. 7 United Tool and Fastener Houston One-Day Sale drew crowds in sunshine, with customers nabbing some of the best deals of 2018.
“The 2018 sale saw the biggest crowd to date,” UTF Vice President, Steve Blackwell said.
“I definitely think our new website and Facebook presence is helping new customers discover our store.”
UTF President, Bobby Williams, agreed with Blackwell’s assessment.
“The One-Day Sale was, again, a success. We have turned this into an annual event that our customers have really come to enjoy,” Williams said.
For a second year in a row, Williams ordered a giant tent to ensure the occasion’s success and customer comfort in the event of rain, sun or heat. Although forecasts called for rain, the tent was used more to shield customers from the sun and well above-normal heat.
The One-Day Sale was the fifth for UTF. Williams said customers really look forward and anticipate the One-Day Sales because it makes it possible for them to stock up on items they are going to buy anyway.
Various reps from DeWalt, Werner, Protective Industrial Products (PIP), KNAACK, and Metal Tech Industrial Solutions in addition to new vendors, Overtime, Sundstrom and Kask, were on hand to help answer customer questions and facilitate sales. Product demonstrations further advanced sales and knowledge about products or brands, especially Sunstrom and Kask, which are two of UTF’s newest vendors.
Kask offers an innovative line of safety helmets and Sundstrom carries various air purification systems.
“Customers and vendors said it was a great sale with good deals, delicious food and leading-edge products,” UTF Safety Sales representative, Amy Sexton, said.
Williams said this year’s sale was another accomplishment for UTF.
“United Tool would like to give a big ‘Thank You’ to all of the participating vendor partners that are involved in making UTF’s One Day Sale the event it is. It gets bigger every year and we could not do it without them.”
